The stage career of Sadoski, an award-winning actor, began as an understudy to Mark Ruffalo, Mark Rosenthal and Mark Rosenthal in an Off-Broadway production of Kenneth L. Lonergan's play This is Our Youth at Second Stage Theatre. It was the beginning of many productions with the New York-based theatre company. He has performed in numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway productions as well as many productions in regional theaters. He portrayed Greg in Neil LaBute's play Reasons to be Pretty for MCC Theatre with his Newsroom co-star Alison Pill. The play was highly acclaimed Off-Broadway performance that sold to the max. In April of 2009, the play moved to Broadway and received three Tony Award nominations: Best actor: Sadoski; Best Actress: Marin Ireland; Best Play as well as three Drama Desk Award nominations: Best actor, Best Director, Terry Kinney and Best actor. 6 Neil LaBute credited Sadoski with the change in tone in The Reasons to Be Pretty, which was a departure in comparison to earlier works. He wrote: "His thoughtfulness and good heart made it impossible to go back to something that I've previously performed." My plays always finish in a dark space. I've always believed that that was true, that there are always shades of gray. But He helped me to see other colors in the palette." In 2011, he played the part as Trip Wyeth in Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities for which the actor was awarded an Obie Award and Lucille Lortel Award. After a sold-out Off-Broadway show in November 2011, the play was transferred to Broadway and was awarded Outstanding New Off-Broadway performance by the Outer Critics Circle. Sadoski is also seen on Broadway alongside Ben Stiller, Edie Falco, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alison Pill in John Guare's House of Blue Leaves
