Ariel began her acting career young appearing in a Cool Whip commercial at age 6. The first time Ariel appeared on TV began at age seven, in a CBS episode called Listen Up! Then she followed it up with appearances on shows such as Monk Bones and ER. In 2007, she was cast in the character of Gretchen for her role on the Disney Original Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. The actress made her debut live-action appearance in the role of Alex Dunphy in the hit TV show Modern Family two years later.
